·         1/16 - January 16 - No Class/All Campus Holiday - Martin Luther King Jr. Day

·         1/16 - Formation of groups for Machine Problems (MPs)  - by January 23 – email to TA your group members

·         1/16 - Leasing of Logitech cameras - by January 30 – you can lease the cameras in the office 2312 SC (Barb Leisner’s office) – bring your ID.  Each group can lease at least two web-cameras.

·         1/30 – MP1 is posted – The submission deadline is February 18, 2012

·         2/29 – Homework 1 - due March 1, Thursday (midnight) , 2012

·         2/29 – Midterm – March 5, Monday, 11-11:50am (in class) – see lectures 18 and 19 for more detailed information

·         3/2 – Homework 1 solutions are posted.

·         3/7 – Solution to midterm is posted.

·         3/12 – MP2 posted – The submission deadline is April 7, 20012

·         4/10 – MP3 is posted – The submission deadline is April 28, 2012

o   Top four groups will be decided during Monday MP demonstration (April 30)

o   All four groups will be informed by email as well as it will be advertised on newsgroup

o   On Tuesday, May 1, 5-7pm, we will have the competition.

o   Finalists should prepare a short power-point presentation (4 slides max) to inform judges about the system design

o   On newsgroup we will advertise the room of competition once we have the final four groups.

o   All cs414 students are invited to watch the competition on Tuesday, May 1, and join us for pizza and drinks at 6:45pm in room 3401 SC after the competition.

·         4/27 – Peer evaluations are due Friday, May 4 (midnight)

·         4/27 – ¼ unit projects are due Friday, May 4.

·         4/27 – Final exam is Friday, May 11, 1:30-4:30pm in two rooms

o   Room 1105 SC – students with last name starting with letter A-J come to this room
