I am a graduate student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I previously held a prestigeous research grant in the Department of TELIN , Faculty of Engineering at Ghent University , Gent, Belgium (which I later declined). I had also studied in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Stellenbosch , Stellenbosch, South Africa and Department of Mathematics at the University of Asmara , Asmara, Eritrea.

Current Projects
Congestion Control
This project involves implementing the Fast Congestion Control Protocol ( FCP ) I have recently proposed using the ns2 simulation, in router hardware and end-host software.
Cross-Layer Traffic Engineering
This project involves implementing the Online Cross Layer Traffic Engineering (Routing and Congestion Control) Technique ( OCLTEre ) I have recently proposed using the ns2 simulation, in router hardware and end-host software.
Emulation of Simulation
It is a known fact that simulation takes a long time to give the desired result. So this project aims at emulating simulation using some clever analytical techniques for example ( EmulModel1 ) without compromizing the achievements of real simulation. Both repeating and terminating simulations can be successfully emulated. The emulation will be much faster than real simulation and hence will be robust to complex scenarios which are otherwise hard to analyse using real simulation.
Past Projects
Virtual Battery
This project was about Virtual Battery: An Energy Reserve Abstraction for Embedded Sensor Networks ( Virtual Battery ).
Performance Analysis of Communication Networks
These series of projects were about analytical models of network performance ( AnaModel1 and AnaModel2 , EmulModel1 ).
