I'm currently doing a Ph.D in Computer Science at UIUC, working under the supervision my advisor
Dr. Carl Gunter.
I'm interested in Security with specific interests in Denial of Service attacks/defenses
as well as applications of formal methods to security.
I've finished my Quals this semester (Fall'07).

Academic Background |
I completed my undergrad (1996-2000) (B.Tech) in Computer Science from Kakatiya University, Warangal (India).
I then finished my masters (2000-2002) (M.Tech) in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (India).

Work Experience |
- 2002-2003:
I worked in a startup (Incite Infotech, New Delhi, India), as a Technology Architect.
My chief responsibility was to program tiny operating systems
for managing smartcards as well as GSM-compatible SIM cards.
This work was based on my master's thesis which involved
developing an operating system for smartcards
- 2003-2006:
I worked at Mentor Graphics an EDA company in Noida, India.
My work involved writing a compiler for converting LTL assertions into verilog based monitors and
also in working on a compiler for convering high-level verilog/vhdl RTL designs into gate-level netlists
(for emulation).
